St John's church presents a fun musical play for people of all
ages by the Bluebirds group. This show is based on the exciting story of Noah’s ark (which will be built in the show!). It explores God’s mercy and justice in saving Noah and his family and the animals (played by the children who attend the workshop and make masks of animals to wear). We invite all local churches, schools and community groups to join us on this day and to bring any children the free lunch and workshops which will include a look at the bible story, the importance of ‘water’ in the world today, making animal masks, and practising the hymn which all will sing at the end of the show. The show is Funded by grants from the Arts Council grant and Southwark Anglican Diocese. The event will be a fun, stimulating day, suitable for all ages and enjoyable for everyone. Please let Fr Peter know if you will be
bringing children to the day (for lunch arrangements) and any other ways you
will support the event by publicising it in your community. There will be a collection wholly given to charity’s working to help children affected by the war in Syria and by the Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa. Please contact Fr. Peter Packer at sjc.peckham@gmail.com or phone 020 7635 4214 for more details |
