This post serves as a quick reminder of the Advent/Christmas services being held across the Camberwell Deanery this year. Normal Sunday Services have not been added as this information is available on our churches page. If you are a visitor who has stumbled upon this page and are looking to attend a service this Christmas, you would be most welcome at any of the churches listed below. All Saints Church, Peckham Carols by Candlelight Carols by candlelight with a chance to celebrate Christmas through carols and readings on Sunday 14th December at 6pm. The Nativity Christingle A service for children and their families to experience the Christmas story on Wednesday 24th December at 4pm Midnight Communion A service to welcome in Christmas morning on Wednesday 24th December at 11pm Christmas Day All Age Service Come and celebrate Jesus' birth, for all ages on Thursday 25th December at 10.30am Christ Church, Peckham Carols & Candlelight On Sunday 14th December, Christ Church will hold a Carols & Candlelight service at 4.30pm King's College Hospital Chaplaincy Carol Service Camberwell Community Choir will be singing at a Christmas carol service at King's College Hospital Chapel at 6.30pm on December 10th. Carol Service King's College Hospital Carol Service will be held on 17th December at 5pm in St Luke's chapel. Everyone welcome. Christmas Day A Christmas Day Eucharist will be held at 10am in St Luke's Chapel. St Antony's Church, Nunhead (Children and families are welcome at all services, and all include carols and readings). Christmas Bazaar On Saturday 13th December, St Antony's will be holding a Christmas bazaar in the Church Hall from 12 noon - 4pm. It's open to the public. Carol / Christingle Service On Christmas Eve (Wed 24th December), a family service with carols and readings where children are especially welcome. Mince pies afterwards. Midnight Mass Christmas Eve, 11.30pm, come and celebrate the coming of Our Lord at this traditional evening service. Christmas Day Mass Christmas Day Mass on Thursday 25th December is at 10.30am New Year's Eve Mass A reflective service to welcome in the New Year at 11.30pm. St Giles's Church, Camberwell Carols round Camberwell On Tuesday 16th December at 7pm at St Giles', the choir will sing a short carol concert (a mixture of traditional and popular music). That will be followed by 'Carols round Camberwell' in which the choir will call in on local businesses and public spaces around Camberwell to raise money for charity. A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols On Sunday December 21st at 6pm, the church choir will be performing beautiful Christmas music by candlelight. There will be a mixture of traditional and modern carols sung by the choir and the congregation will have chance to sing traditional carols too with the organ. Mince pies and mulled wine will be available afterwards. Christmas Eve Crib and Christingle Service On Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December), St Giles' will hold a crib service specially designed for children which tells the Christmas story with readings and carols at 3pm. Carols on the Merry Organ On Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December), you can hear and sing Christmas carols at St Giles' at 6pm. In a candlelit church, this is the perfect time to have a few quiet moments before the Christmas festivities begin! Midnight Mass On Christmas Eve, Midnight Mass will begin at midnight. Christmas Day Masses On Christmas Day, Mass will be said at 8am and a festival Mass will be sung at 10am. Watchnight A Watchnight service will take place on December 31st at 11.30pm with Mass and Prayers. St George's, Camberwell Christingle Service & Eucharist Sunday 21st December Advent 4: 10.00am All-age Eucharist with distribution of Christingle oranges Christmas Eve Monday 24th December, 11.30pm Midnight Mass of the Nativity by candlelight Christmas Day Tuesday 25th December, 10.00am All-age Celebration Holy Innocents Sunday 28th December, Holy Innocent's Day, 10.00am All-age Celebration. New Year's Eve 31st December at 11.30pm, Watchnight Mass by candlelight with individual anointing and blessings The Epiphany Sunday, 4th January, 10.00am All-age Celebration with blessing of chalk St John Chrysostom with St Andrew Church, Peckham Midnight Mass Christmass Midnight Mass takes place on 24th December at 11.00pm Christmas Day Christmass Day sung Parish Mass at 10.30am (not 10.00am as usual). Watch Night Mass On Wednesday 31st December, the 'Watchnight Mass' will take place at 5pm. Feast of the Epiphany The Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord takes place on Sunday 4th January and the Children's Nativity Play will be performed at the Parish Sung Mass at 10.00am St Luke's Church, Camberwell Carol and Christingle Service Sunday 21st December, Carol and Christingle, 6pm. Midnight Mass Wednesday 24th December, Midnight Mass, service begins, 11pm.
