We're branching out!  As you'll have seen from recent news, there are plenty of events taking place in Camberwell and Peckham.  However, we've been asked to publicise an event from St Barnabas' Church in Dulwich, one of our neighbouring deaneries...

Prepare in Advent for the Christmas festivities by going to watch CREATION, the Dulwich Mystery Play adapted from traditional medieval drama by Tricia Thorns and shown at St Barnabas' Church, Dulwich.  The cast is drawn from ten local churches, and comprises people of all faiths and none.

It will all begin with the Creation of the world (Gen 1 and Gen 2), move through to the Annunciation (Lk 1:26-39) and end with the Nativity (Mt 1&2 and Lk 1&2).  The wonderful St Barnabas' Choir will be accompanied by the Mock Tudor Band on extraordinary instruments.  There will be dances, comedy and spectacle to welcome their new vicar and raise funds for Southwark's "Churches Together" Homeless Appeal.

The event takes place on Sunday December 7th 2014 at 2.30pm and 5pm at St Barnabas' Church, Calton Avenue, SE21.

Parking and admission are free, but there will be a retiring collection.  Everybody is very welcome to attend and they would no doubt welcome visitors from churches further afield...

(Don't forget, if you enjoy drama, you might also want to go and watch or participate in the musical play, Mrs Noah and the Flood on 29th November at St John Chrysostom, Peckham.)
