All Saints will hold their Harvest Festival Lunch from 12.30pm - 3pm after their service at 10.30am. It will be a bring and share lunch and accompanied by a quiz. St John Chrysostom will hold their traditional Harvest Festival service on Sunday 12th October at 10am. Those attending are asked to bring tinned goods, pasta, rice or any packeted goods (non-perishable, not fruit etc). It is useful if you can donate tins that have built-in ring pulls due to not everybody having access to a tin-opener. The goods will be donated to the local homeless charity, ROBES. St Giles Church held a successful Harvest Songs of Praise on 5th October, making a good start on fundraising for repairs to the organ. Goods already donated (see photo) will be given to Pecan food bank and local residents are invited to bring non-perishable items, as usual, to the back of church. |
