Southwark Diocese has set up a new Hearts on Fire blog to share the Good News throughout the Diocese.

Bishop Christopher has been collaborating with a number of people who've made different submissions, and the topics so far have ranged from thoughts on Pentecost, Confirmation, The Bridge newspaper, Mission Action Planning and running a Food Bank.  It's quite exciting.

The most recent post is from Revd Ben Goodyear of St Paul's, Brixton:
"The other day I was in the foodbank wearing my clerical collar, as usual, and a guy pulled me over. I found out that he has been a drug addict for 10 years. He said that he wants to break free from his addiction and asked me ‘do I need to be born again?’. So, I opened up the Bible with him and we looked at John 3 together. I told him about God’s love for him and how God sent Jesus to die on a cross for him. I said he needs to be born again and say 'sorry’, 'thank you’ and 'please’ to God so he can repent of his sin and receive the Holy Spirit. I gave him a Bible and told him to read Matthew’s Gospel and then we prayed together."
